email interview with Ms. Natalie Bright
How has your over all experience been studying at Katz MBA ?
I’ve really enjoyed my time at Katz. All the instructors were personable and really are there to help you become the best version of yourself. The experience based learning courses are a top priority at Katz and really make the students stand out from other programs. I am a part-time student and work full-time so my experience is probably different from a full-time students, but during all of my years at Katz both administration and faculty have acknowledged that the part-time students have other priorities outside of the classroom and the program allows for that. Overall I’ve had a great experience at Katz and I would recommend it to anyone.
please talk about the courses you really likes and the professors you felt are exceptional in their subject?
I have really enjoyed all of the courses I’ve taken at Katz. My favorites have been anything related to Human Resources like the Organizational Behavior course. I was also chosen for the Mellon Fellowship Corporate Social Responsibility course last semester and I really enjoyed that. As stated earlier all of the instructors are really knowledgable in their areas and are willing to help students.
please share about your experience of finding an internship and fulltime job ?
I am in my last semester and have been working full time so I haven’t had any internship experience. I will be looking for a new full time job after I graduate this summer.
please share your experience with Katz alumni and networking in general ?
All alumni I have reached out to have been willing and able to help. They enjoy talking about their experience at Katz and still like to be involved with the school. Some remain close to the career management office and that office often helps students network with alumni.
what advice would you give to prospective students applying to Katz?
This is a great place to study for your MBA. The coursework is related to real life experiences, it is challenging, and will definitely put you outside of your comfort zone, but at the same time the experience is so rewarding.
Any advice for international students ?
Don’t be afraid to reach out to other students for help. I can’t imagine what coming to a new country and starting a new school feels like, but we are always willing and able to help in any way possible.
What is one unique thing that you feel represents the Katz MBA experience ?
I think of Katz like a big family. Everyone who goes there is proud to be part of the school and is so eager and willing to help others.
